Written in Jón Erlendsson's fracture-hand.
There is an AM-slip pasted to the front. Here Árni Magnússon wrote: Heidreks Saga med | Hervarar þætte. | med hendi Sr Jons i Villingahollte. | lied mier af Jone Þorlackssyne 1709, | og sidann selld 1710. | Var tilforna i innbundinni bok.
Written in Iceland. Kålund Katalog dated it to the seventeenth century but since Jón Erlendsson served as a scribe from c. 1625-1672 it can be dated more accurately to that period.
According to Árni Magnússon's account on the AM-slip, he borrowed the fragment from Jón Þorláksson in 1709, and bought it from him in 1710.
