The main scribe uses his initials I.S.S. and on fol. 81v, in some final stanzas, he gives a paraphrase of his first name (Jón) and a date (1735).
Fols 82r-86v are written in another hand in 1736.
Bound in a modern half-binding from nóvember 2004 with spine and corners in dark red Winchester and the boards covered with marbled Urbanus paper. Size of binding: 174 mm x 128 mm x 30 mm.
When Kålund wrote his catalogue of the manuscripts in the Arnamagnæan Collection, the manuscipt was bound in a binding containing three fragmentary letters from Eyjafjarðarsýsla. These are now put inside a grey cardboard cover together with some small pieces from the manuscript.
