A cardstock paper measuring 247 mm x 186 mm is also placed together with the manuscript at the end before the back paper cover.
The front and back covers of the paper are torn and separated.
The entirety of Acc. 4 c I[1-14] were originally wrapped in a paper cover measuring approximately 380 mm x 250 mm when unfolded. On this paper cover, which is highly fragile and damaged around the edges, is written Access 4 C I. Mapper med A-B, E-P.
The manuscript is currently held in two modern archival paper folders (items 1-8, items 9-13) measuring 305 mm x 215 mm.
Acc. 4 c I[1-7] are all held in an archival box measuring 320 mm x 230 mm x 75 mm
Written in the Faroe Islands in the nineteenth century.
The manuscript materials were part of V. U. Hammershaimb's private archive and were originally intended for Det kgl. nordiske Oldskriftselskab. They were given to the Arnamagnæan Collection following Hammershaimb's death in 1909.
