The materials are held in a single paper folder (241 mm x 183 mm) labelled B.

Written in the Faroe Islands in the nineteenth century.

The manuscript materials were part of V. U. Hammershaimb's private archive and were originally intended for Det kgl. nordiske Oldskriftselskab. They were given to the Arnamagnæan Collection following Hammershaimb's death in 1909.

The ballad text written in the blank spaces in the first (left) column with around 45 lines per page. On the final page (p. 38 (f. 19v)) the ballad is written in a single column of 34 lines.

The written area of the ballad differs based on the space available. On p. 36 (f. 18v) the written area of the ballad text measures 330 mm x 100 mm while on p. 38 (f. 19v) it measures 275 mm x 200 mm.

The written area of the church record (both columns) is 330 mm x 200 mm
