The manuscript is foliated in black ink by Kristian Kålund in the top right-hand corners (including the first leaf).
The manuscript consists of 132 parchment leaves incl. the first leaf which was, at some point, used as material for the pastedown.
The text is written in one column with approximately 20 lines per page.
The written area measures ca. 70 mm x 50 mm.
After fol. 127 a leaf is missing.
Written by Johannes Thun.
The major initials, litterae florissae, are decorated with gold leaf and flourished with red and blue ink:
.Alternating red and blue lombards (1-3 lines).
Red section marks; some sentence initials are colour-stroked in red.
Red rubrics; in the Provicial Law of Jutland chapter numbers are written in roman numerals in the outer margins next to the rubrics.
On a slip of parchment pasted to the lower pasteddown contains a property evaluation from c. 1500.
In the margins younger additions occur, mostly personal names but also notes and pen trials. Some of them are written upside-down (e.g. on fols. 9v-10r.
Pressed leather binding with clasps and a red book block. On the front of the binding: IACOB | WITKER(?) is embossed; on the back: | ANNO |1581.
Inside the manuscript box, material removed from the manuscript during conservation: the old bluish-green sticker displaying the shelfmark, remains of older sewing thread and remains from dry-cleaning are kept.
