History

Origin

Written in Denmark in 1490, the Saturday after Pentecost.

Seven leaves, containing a calendar for Aarhus diocese, now constituting 169 8vo, and two leaves two leaves containing annalistic notes, now constituting AM 233 8vo, were removed from this manuscript by Árni Magnússon. Yet the upper half of one of the leaves is cut out and stuck to AM 10 8vo, apparently because of the following message: 'Thennæ logbog hør per terckilsen |till í føwling oc lod hennæ siælff |skriffæ aar æffter gutz byrd M° |cdlxxx° then løwerdag næsth |for pingetz dagh'.

Provenance

The manuscript was owned by Per Terkelsen of Føvling, who also commisioned it.
