The manuscript is a fragment. Fol. 1 consisting of two pieces pasted together; fol. 2 of two loose fragments that once were the inner column, but there is now a lacuna between them.
Written in Denmark. Kristian Kålund dates it the fifteenth century, as does Holger Friis Johansen by dating the Danish National Archives fragment E338 ( Johansen 1959s. 48). Poul Diderichsen, however, dates it more preicsely to the second half of the fifteenth century ( Diderichsen 1937s. xxv). This is the dating used by Gammeldansk Ordbog (The Society for Danish Language and Literature.
The two leaves were found in the binding of Vestervig Monastery's estate accounts (lensregnskaber) 1651-1652 (XXVI) and the Vestervig cadastre (jordebog) 1651-1652 (XXVII), respectively.
