Maríu saga
According to Kålund ) Katalog II s. 45-46 ), AM 633 4to is a copy of a now lost manuscript, assumingly the one described by Árni Magnússon on fol. 13v in his catalogue of Icelandic parchment manuscripts, AM 435 a 4to: Mariu saga (lika og su fra Val-|þiofsstad i næsta Codice) | Mariu Saga ennar Egipzku (er stutt) l | af Sancta Margareta nockud lited. | og vantar þar nockud aptanvid. er | tekid ur Scripto Theotimi. | in 4to minori vel octavo. | Mariu Sgurnar badar eru med smu | hendi sem Knytlinga Saga in Cod. Paginated 1-220 (irregular pagination, as the numbers 117-126 are repeated).
Re-pagination 126-230, mostly only the uneven numbers, in pencil (probably during the restoration 1969-70).
There are catchwords on each verso side except on pp. 118 and 146 (wrongly paginated 136)
The manuscript is written in one column with 17 or 18 lines per page.
Written by Magnús Einarsson.
The manuscript once was bound in a parchment binding, an old sea chart of Bali. In connection with the restoration 1969-70, the manuscript was re-bound in a BD-standard binding; 205 mm x 180 mm x 35* mm (* where widest).
On a slip pasted to the manuscript Árni Magnússon states: Þesse Mariu Saga er med | hendi Magnusar Einars-|sonar, ritud epter þeirre | membranâ i litlu 4to, | sem er med Knytlinga-|Sgu hendi.

The manuscript was written by the scribe Magnús Einarsson in Iceland in the beginning of the eighteenth century.

Conservation 18 August 1969 to 3 March 1970 by Birgitte Dall: The leaves were removed from the binding and cleaned with an eraser. It was then smoothed, repaired, and then put on meeting guards and bound in a new standard canvas-binding. The Sea chart and parchment strips - the latter serving as padding - were removed from the original binding.
