AM 628 4to is one of three copies of Codex Scardensis (SÁM 1) commissioned by Árni Magnússon and written in Iceland 1710-1712 by Eyjólfur Björnsson. Eyjólfur's copies are now preserved as AM 628 4to, AM 631 4to and AM 636 4to.
