Parchment.
The manuscript is written in long lines with 39 lines to the page. On f. 1v, the trace of a rubric is found. An effaced red majuscule on 2 lines is found on f. 1v.
The 3 leaves are not well preserved. The lower half of f. 1 has several holes and the most part of the last 3 lines is torn away. f. 2 has also holes and the outer part has been cut away, and f. 3 is damaged both by ploughing and wear. All the damages has caused a loss of text.
The manuscript is written in Iceland in the fourth quarter of the thirteenth century ( Jensen 1979 45 ). Kålund's dating: the thirteenth century (Kålund: Katalog I 561 ).
Nothing is known about the provenance and history of fol. 1. According to Fornmanna sögur IX fols 2-3 were put in a cover on which Árni Magnússon had written: Þesse .2. innlgd bld eru fundin i Noregi. NB. Þetta blad accorderar vid þä Dönsku version nærre lage.
Louis-Jensen ( Louis Jensen 1977 20 ) however, is more inclined to think that this cover belonged to AM 325 VIII 4 c 4to.
