The last legal amendment by Hákon Magnússon on duty for foreigners is written by one of Árni Magnussons scribes and is found on the seven paper leaves in octavo, inserted at the end of the manuscript.

The manuscript is written in 2 columns with the exception of the first 2 and last 5 leaves, which are written in 1 column.
There are several defects and Árni Magnússon has marked some of them on the bottom margin of the previous page. The folios 19, 23, 28, 29 have been damaged due to trimming of the outer margin and 78, 84 have been trimmed in the lower margin. 1r is blank.
The initials are in various colours and there are rubrics in red.
Earlier the manuscript was bound in a grey cardboard binding but is now after restoration bound in a modern standard half binding.
Written in Norway between 1320-1360.
The owners are mentioned on 85v : asmunder …sigurderson . Another owner Jacop lauriszon who owned the manuscript in 1576 is mentioned on 1v, and according to the first AM-slip the name and date Carl Andersen anno 1575 was written on the old binding, when Árni Magnússon acquired the manuscript.
According to the same AM-slip the manuscript finally came into the possession of gehejmeråd Matthias Moth who acquired it from Norway, and he gave it to Árni Magnússon.
The manuscript was restored from 1981.04.22 to 1982.03.30. The former grey cardboard binding was replaced and it was put on meeting guards and bound in a modern standard half binding.

The manuscript was lent to The University Library of Oslo for the use of Tryggve Knudsen from 1977.06.15 to 1978.06.10.
