Written in double columns with 40 lines to the column. Majuscules occur in varying colours. Rubrics in red.

Condition

The last 8 lines of fols 2 and 3 is missing and are furthermore damaged by cutting along the verge.

Script

The hand is identical to the one who wrote AM 227 fol. and other manuscript. For an exhaustive list, see Jakob Benediktsson 1980 11.

Binding

Bound in a blue cardboard cover from 1967.

History

Origin

The fragment is written in Iceland c. 1350 ( Jakob Benediktsson 1980, p. 11). Kålund dating: The fourteenth century ( Katalog ).

Custodial History

During the conservation 01-02-1967 to 26-04-1967 the manuscript was put on meeting guards and put in a blue cardboard cover.

The manuscript was prepared for photographing 24-10-1964 to 04-11-1964.
