Parchment.
Written in double columns. 1va is 65 mm x 185 mm, 1vb is 60 mm x 185 mm.
The upper leaf is trimmed and the verso is so worn that the text is illegible.
Besides pen-trials from the seventeenth century, the signature A.Magn. 238. Fol. - 34 in archivist Jón Sigurðsson's hand, and the signature XXVIII in Kristian Kålund's hand, the bottom margin recto has the letter intrance (?) Minn fr, indicating that the manuscript is of Icelandic provenance.
Historie og herkomst
Written in Iceland in the last quarter of the thirteenth century ( Stefán Karlsson 1984s. 193) by a Norwegian scribe. Kålund's dating: The fourteenth century ( Katalog ).
