In his catalogue of Icelandic parchment manuscripts, now catalogued as AM 435 a 4to, Árni Magnússon writes that the codex once belonged to Eggert Jónsson of Akrar: Er komin til min ur Skagafirde. Bökina hefur fyrr ätta Eggert Jonsson ä ỏkrum. Er in folio minori.
