The foloowing note is found on fol. 1av: Þessi Bok heꝻur Jnni Ad Hallda storrt Hundꝛad og 17 Blod og ꜳ | Eg magnus Jonſson hana med riettu gieꝻinn mieꝛ AꝻ sꜳluga Ormi | itan Ꝼe Enn epttir minn dag A hana Ad Eignnaſtt Sæmundur Eggertt-sson SkriꝻad ad Haga Anno 24. janúar 1661
Two marginal notes on the previous owners of the codex are found on fols 95r abd 107r, respectively: Hieꝛ gaꝻ oꝛmur wpp wid at lesa | gud lene þier Ꝼiꝛi ſkemtunena oꝛmur | minn godur oc ſæll ſeiger biarne | kalꝻſſon og þetta er Ꝼin bok teítuꝛ aa mig ſeiger | bokin
Fol. 139r has a drawing of a ship from the seventeenth century.
The manuscript is bound in a medieval binding: wooden boards held together by six bands. The boards have carved corner figures at both the upper and lower board. These figures, representing a snake-like figure with a human face with horns and something resembling a bell around its neck, are identical at the top and the bottom. There is, however, a small fifference between figures on the upper and lower board; the figures on the upper board have small triangular scales while the figures on the lower board have wings.
In AM 435 a 4to, ff. 3v-6r, Árni Magnússon wrote about this manuscript: Hiſtoria Biblia vulgo Stiorn, deſinit qvemadmodum liber 4tus Regum.
