BD-standard binding from 1980 with cloth spine and corners. The borads are covered in greyish brown cloth. 220 mm x 190 mm x 18 mm

Uppruni og ferill

Uppruni

Written in Iceland or Denmark in the seventeenth century and the beginning of the eighteenth century.

According to Árni Magnússon’s notes in Latin on ff. 10 and 20, ff. 11r-18r were written by the priest, Ketill Jörundsson around 1635, presumably provisioned by the bishop of Skálholt, Gísli Oddsson.

Ferill

Gísli Oddsson is said to have presented ff. 11-18 to Ole Worm. Possessions of the Worm family was subsequently acquired by Frederik Rostgaard.

Aðföng

Árni Magnússon bought ff. 11-18 at Rostgaard’s auction in 1726 (no. 723).
