The manuscript is in good condition.
Previously bound in the 1880s with blue and brown marbled paper and black leather over the spine and corners.
The manuscript was rebound in 2013 in a half-binding with blue marbled paper and blue leather covering the spine and corners. On the spine the shelfmark Rask 113 and catalogue number 2689 are embossed in gold.

Rasmus Rask copied these three poems Svabo's quarto manuscript (GKS 2894 I-III 4to) in the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen. Povl Skårup (Rasmus Rask og Færøsks. 63) argues on the basis of paleography that the copies were made between spring 1808 and April 1810.
