The Latin title covers texts in several languages: A Calendar of which November and December are missing, Evangelium Secundum Iohannem, which is the 2nd Gospel according to St. John, some prayers and hymns of which the p. 231-50 and p. 333-38 are written in French. The pages 167-68 contain a prayer to the Virgin in Italian and on 3 inserted leaves from c. 1700 a description of the manuscript itself written in Latin is found.

The leather binding is tooled and the holes in it are traces of two metal clasps.

Uppruni

The origin of the manuscript is uncertain but Kristian Kålund has dated it to c. 1300. Later a group of scholars from CHD (Center for hndskriftstudier i Danmark) has dated it to 1400-1410.

Aðföng

According to the AM-slip „Ex autione Rostgardiana Num. Mstorum 341“, Árni Magnússon acquiered the manuscript at Frederik Rostgaard's auction in 1726.
