Uppruni og ferill
The MS is written in Iceland, Kristian Kålund dated it to the sixteenth century (KKKat), whereas Magnús Már Lárusson dated it more precisely to the four first decades of the sixteenth century (Magnús Már Lárusson 1951, p. 159).
The manuscript used to be a part of the same codex as AM 687 c I 4to. Árni Magnússon got this manuscript in Flatey from Guðrun Ögmundardóttir in 1707. In the bottom margin of f. 1r of AM 687 c I 4to Árni has written: „Fra Gudrunu ỏgmundar d. i Flatey 1707“.

During the restoration 2 April 1963-11 November 1965 the leaves were restored, set on meeting guards and put in a cardboard cover.
