Uppruni og ferill

Uppruni

Written in Iceland in the second half of the thirteenth century (see e.g. Hreinn Benediktsson 1965 s. xliv ). Kålund's dating: The thirteenth century.

Ferill

According to the AM-slip concerning Pétrs saga postola this part of the manuscript belonged to Þorsteinn Sigurðsson. He once got it from Northern Iceland, but not from Austfjörður. The history of Páls saga postola is unknown.

Aðföng

From the AM-slip, telling only the story of Pétrs saga postola, it can be infered that Árni Magnússon acquired the two sagas seperately. He got Pétrs saga postola from Þorsteinn Sigurðsson in 1716. The acquisition of Páls saga postola is unknown.
