The leaf is defect; the leaf is so worn recto and verso that reading is difficult; the top i.e. the first lines and especially the outer corner is torn out.
Bound in a cardboard cover from 1959.
The fragment is written in Iceland in the last quarter of the thirteenth century ( Johnsen & Jón Helgason 1941, p. 962). Kålund's dating: The fourteenth century ( KKKat ).
A rather coarse seventeenth century hand has written on the old writing verso: Steynun Olafs dotter þessa Bok hia mier Snæbirne Torffa syne Anno 1643. The man is probably the lawman Snæbjörn Torfason of Kirjuból in Langadal, later of Bær in Króksfjörður (d. 1666), Steinunn Ólafsdóttir cannot be identified.
