Parchment.
The manuscript is written in two columns with 41 lines per column. Rubrics in red, majuscules in varying colours.
The first six lines of fol. 2 have been cut off and the first word on fol. 2ra is therefore missing. The margins of f. 5 were also excised, causing a loss of the first one or two letters on each side of the text block.
The leaves are furthermore damaged due to wear and tear.
The manuscript is written in a practised Icelandic Gothic bookhand.
Marginal notes written by Árni Magnússon:
The manuscript is written in Iceland. Kristian Kålund dated the manuscript to the fourteenth century wheras both Finnur Jónsson and Jonna Louis-Jensen have dated the manuscript more precisely to the first quarter of the fourteenth century.
The only evidence of the aquisition of the manuscript is the information on f. 1r and 2r, concerning only those two leaves.
Catalogued 24. febrúar 2000 by EW-J.
During the conservation 02.03.1958-04.04.1959 the manuscript was put on meeting guards and put in a cover.
