AM 764 4to is written by at least ten different hands and is therefore presumed produced in a scriptorium, most possibly Reynistaður in Skagafjörður, Northern Iceland.

The second part of the manuscript contains excerpts of e.g. legends, miracles and annals. Parts of Maríu jartegnir and Vitæ patrum are interspersed between the other texts. Tveitane (Den lærde stil, 20-21, 23-24.) printed those parts of Vitæ patrum written on fols 26r and 38r-v. The following items are printed or mentioned in ONP and Wolf 2013.
