Árni Mágnússon wrote that the source texts, the fragments A, B and C, all came from Iceland. A (in 8vo) was quite old; B (in 4to) was younger and part of a legendary, originally belonging to the church of Flatey in Western Iceland. C (in 4to) was not very old and was part of a codex containing texts on St. Þorlákr and a lectio on St. Peter.
On fol. 20 Árni Magnússon wrote that the original consisted of two parchment leaves in folio originating from Sweden. The leaves once belonged to a legendary from the fifteenth century.
On fol. 24r Árni Magnússon wrote that the exemplar was a parchment leaf from a legendary in folio which he had acquired in Denmark.
