On f, 1r there is a note dated to 1756 signed Erlendur Jonsson, with a later addition “Profastr i Era”.

Between f. 1v and 2r there is a blue slip of paper which is now bound together with the manuscript. It preserves a text of Fögru Önnu kvæði which starts with a rubric: “Kvædi af fogru önnu”.

On f. 75v there is a note: “Þesza bók á húsfreýa Maria Gudmundz dóttir á Kollastödum | henni gefin af H. Jónssyni.”

Accompanying Material
The following items are kept together with the manuscript:
  • Note written by Finnur Jónsson on the contents of the manuscripts: “Håndskriftet består af 3 dele [...] er mig ellers ukendt | F. J.”
  • A title page of the 1520 printed edition of Liber Antibarbarorum by Desiderius Erasmus from Rotterdam: “ANTIBAR|BARORVM D. ERASMI | ROTERODAMI, LIBER UNUS [...] NIVM ANNO M. D. XX.”. Possibly it used to be glued to f. 76r.
  • A lithograph of an angel and a praying woman. Possibly used to be glued on f. 76v
  • An invoice from Levin & Munksgaard Bookstore, for “Islandsk Haandskrift” bought for 65 kr.
  • Old binding, fragments of other manuscripts and printed materials.

History

Origin
The manuscript is written by Jón Erlendsson from Villingaholt, so his death in 1672 is a terminus ante quem for this manuscript. On f. 75v, there is a dated colophon with the date 1651.
Acquisition
According to Agnethe Loth (unpublished catalogue of Accessoria collection from 1968), The Arnamagnæan Collection in Copenhagen bought this manuscript on 09 May 1936 from Munksgaards Antikvariat for 65 kr.
