The initials are red and blue.

Binding

The leather binding is tooled and the holes in it are traces of two metal clasps.

History

Origin

Written in France. Kristian Kålund dated it to c. 1300. Later a group of scholars from CHD (Center for håndskriftstudier i Danmark) dated it to 1400-1410.

Acquisition

According to the AM-slip “Ex autione Rostgardiana Num. Mstorum 341”, Árni Magnússon acquiered the manuscript at Frederik Rostgaard's auction in 1726.
