The binding is a modern BD-standard binding from 1963.

History

Origin

The manuscript was probably written in Iceland in the seventeenth century.

Provenance

The manuscript was once bound in with AM 119 a 8vo which itself was once part of a larger codex, now split up into AM 119 a 8vo, AM 588 p 4to and AM 118 a 8vo. It is possible that AM 119 b 8vo was once part of this larger codex, too.
