Binding

The manuscript was formerly bound in a binding covered with two parchment leaves from Jónsbók containing “Farmannalög” and dating from c. 1600, now Access. 25. It is now bound in a cardboard binding from 1887.

Accompanying Material

On a slip now pasted to the front fly-leaf Árni Magnússon gives information about a copy of the manuscript: “Ur þessu exemplari er skrifud bok | Arna Sigurdßonar a grund in | 4to hann segest ad vera ritud af | Jone Arnasyne logmanns. | Ad vïsu er Arna exemplar j | fyrstu ur þessum codice, enn kynne vera mediante aliqvo exempla-|re chartaceo. Lacuna ali-|qvot foliorum hann er j þessarra mem-|brana er eins j Arna Sigurdßonar | exemplare.”
