Condition

A leaf is missing between leaf 4 and 5.

Layout

Major initials are in more than one colur, minor initials are colour-stroked in red.

Binding

Kålund binding with parchment spine and corners; the boards are covered by yellowish marbled paper.

Accompanying Material
On a slip pasted to the front Árni Magnússon wrote: “feinged af Magnuse Jonsſyne ä Leyrä”. A similar note is found in AM 435 a 4to, fol. 150v

History

Origin
Written in Iceland. Kålund (

Katalog

) dated the fragmentet to c. 1500. Finnur Jónsson (

Konungs skuggsjá: Speculum regale p. 36

) subsequently dated it to the first half of the fifteenth century.
