The manuscript is a palimpsest leaving traces of older writings. Fols 1-2 which were originally used as end-leaves are taken from a Catholical liturgical manuscript from the fifteenth century. These are now bound seperately from the rest of the manuscript.

The manuscript is bound in a half binding with spine of parchment and side-coverings of marbled paper.

On an AM-slip Árni Magnússon wrote: Þetta true eg ad eg feinge af Eggert Snæbiorns syne 1710.
