The leaves are damaged due to their former use as binding material and the text is, at places, almost illegible. Fol. 1 was excised and is thus damaged.

Written in Iceland in the third quarter of the thirteenth century (Widding 1952171 and Stéfan Karlsson 197894-95), presumingly by a Norwegian or a scribe educated in a Norwegian scriptorium due to to the style of writing and language forms exclusively or principally used in Norwegian texts. Kålund's dating: The thirteenth century (Katalog II 62 ).
