Watermarks in the book block:
- Beehive with "HONIG" on the plinth.
- Countermark: "J HONIG | & | ZOONEN".
Watermarks on the flyleavs:
- Beehive in a floral oval with "C & I HONIG" on the plinth.
- Countermark: A large ligature "Xx" with the initial "C & I H" underneath.
Contemporary pagination. Paginated 1-59 in the middle of upper margins. The pagination starts on f. 3r.
Leaves are gathered in four quires of two to six conjoint leaves.
The manuscript is in a good condition.
The manuscript is written in one column. Each leaf is rulled in pencil 17-20 lines.
Written by Frederik Julius Schaldemose.
No additions, except of the provenance note: „Skjenket skolebibliotheket af Hr. Schaldemose“ underneath the title on f. 2r (unpaginated).
Historie og herkomst
The manuscript was written in Denmark by Frederik Julius Schaldemose. It was probably a part of the collection of manuscripts given as a gift to the Nykøbing Katedralskole in 1818 by Frederik Julius Schaldemose, so it cannot postdate this date.
The manuscripts Acc. 51-62 came from Nykøbing cathedral school. Most of them are Fredrik Schaldemose's transcriptions of Norse texts.
The manuscripts were given as a gift to the Nykøbing Katedralskole by Frederik Schaldemose.
The Arnamagnæan Institute in Copenhagen acquired the manuscript from the school in April 2007 as a gift.
