Copies of Latin vitae. As the originals are now lost, this manuscript is now the primary source of numerous vitae of Danish saints, e.g. the vita of St. Theodgarus or Thøger of Jutland who founded the first church in Vestervig in Thy, Northern Jutland, and was celebrated in Thy as their local saint.

The leaves are divided into sections A-H and foliated in pencil in the upper right-hand corners of the rectos. After section H, the last leaves of the manuscript are foliated 108-116. The foliation, however, is not consecutive.

Ff. 81-82 are inserted slips.

Ff. 108-111 contains notes in a seventeenth century hand. The octavo leaves, ff. 112-116 are also from the seventeenth century.

Band

Bound in a half-binding with a black leather spine and cornes; the boards are covered in brown and blue marbled paper. Size of binding: 223 mm x 182 mm x 30 mm.
