Written in Noway in s. XIV1, c. 1300 and s. XIV ex.
Fols 1ra-60vb:21 can de dated to the first half of the fourteenth century (e.g. Storm 1885564 and Kålund's catalogue)
Fols 60vb:22-61rb can be dated to c. 1350 (Storm 1885565)
Fols 61va-vb can be dated to the end of the fourteenth century (ibid.).
Kålund (Katalog) dated fols 60vb-61vb to the second half of the fourteenth century.
Ferill
From the AM-slips it appears that Peder Syv of Hellested, Denmark gave the manuscript to Frederik Rostgård. IONAS MAGNI.| ANNO 1598 was written on the previous binding and on the pastedown the name Jacob Anderſsön was added.
Aðföng
Rostgård presented Árni Magnússon with the manuscript. It was then bound together with a translation into Danish (AM 75 4to). Árni separated the translation from the source text and had AM 71 4to re-bound.
