Parchment.
Foliated 1-35 in red ink by Kristian Kålund.
A large amount of catchwords are found.
Written in one column with 35 to 45 lines per page.
Written in a seventeenth century fracture hand.
Variants are written in another hand in the margin. According to Árni Magnússon's account on an accompanying slip, the variants come from a book belonging to lögmaður Sigurður Björnsson from Saurbær (1643-1723) and was written by lögréttumaður Sigurður Jónsson from Knörr (1633-1717); the source is presumably AM 281 4to.
Bound in a binding from 1700 to 1730 and 1880 to 1920. The binding has a parchment spine on which Árni Magnússon wrote: Ragnars Saga Loðbrökar. The original parchment cover - from a missal in Latin containing notes - was replaced by a marbled paper-cover in 1911 . On the pastedown Kålund has noted the date 7. ágúst 1911.
The parchment leaves have been transferred to Acc. 7 aβ, Hs 2 (Graduale Gufudalense), now constituting fols 22 and 24.
Written in Iceland in the seventeenth century.
