History

Origin

Written in Iceland in the fourteenth century.

Provenance

According a marginal note this leaf has, together with two other, belonged to the principal Jón Þórkellson and later to Jón Ólafsson from Grunnavík. The note reads: Þesse þriu blỏd sende mier Rector Jon Þorkelsson frä Islande 1736. med Eyrarbacka skipe sijdara.

Custodial History

During the conservation 01-02-1967 to 26-04-1967 the manuscript was put on meeting guards and put in a blue cardboard cover.

The manuscript was prepared for photographing 24-10-1964 to 04-11-1964.
