Physical Description
Parchment.
The lower margin of fol. 1 and 3 has been cut away.
The manuscript is written in long lines with 30 lines per page, rubrics in red. The majuscules has the size of 3 lines and ocur in varying colours.
An AM-slip pasted to f. 1r reads: “Ur Sogu Hakonar konungs Hakonarsonar. Feinged 1716. i Februario hia Logmannenum Odde Sigurdzsyne”.
History
The manuscript is written in Iceland. Kristian Kålund has dated it to the fourteenth century, whereas Jón Helgason has dated it more precisely to the middle of the fourteenth century.
On fol 1r the name “Jon Eggersson” is found. The manuscript has also belonged to the Lawman Oddur Sigurðsson.
On a slip pasted to f. 1 Árni Magnússon has written: “Ur Sogu Hakonar konungs Hakonarsonar. Feinged 1716. i Februario hia Logmannenum Odde Sigurdzsyne”.
