Physical Description
Parchment.
The manuscript is foliated on the top-right corners.
The manuscript is written in long lines with 23 lines to the page. Rubrics are in red and pen-flourished majuscules in red or blue. There are column headings.
The manuscript is written in a Gothic Bookhand.
In the chapter on sorcery, the shade of the ink is lighter than the rest of the text and could therefore be a later addition.

Bound in a parchment binding (an old sea chart) from the beginning of the eighteenth century (1700-1730) ; 222 mm x 160 mm x 33 mm. On the front fly-leaf Kristian Kålund has noted the date 14.08.1886.
History
The manuscript was written in Denmark. It has been dated c. 1400 by Kristian Kålund (Katalog vol. I p. 341). Later, Peter Skautrup dated the manuscript to c. 1350, except from the chapter on sorcery which he hesitatingly dates to the beginning of the fifteenth century (Skautrup 1933 p. xvi). However, all of the manuscript is now thought to date from as early as c. 1300 (Kroman 1943 p. 57).
