The manuscript is written in two columns with 30 lines per column.

Decoration

Rubrics in red. The initials are red, some of them are flourished with blue ink.

Binding

The manuscript is half-bound in parchment and is covered by comb marbeled paper.

Accompanying Material

There is an AM-slip pasted to f. 2 which says:“Feingid 1710. af Jone Hannessyne i Reykiarfirde, utanum qver. og hafdi qvered ätt Hannes Gunnlaugsson. Kynni & blỏden þesse leingur utanum qvered vered hafa, þvi sumt i qverenu var nærri 100. ara gamallt.”

Origin

The manuscript is written in Iceland. Kristian Kålund dates the manuscript to s. XIV. Stefán Karlsson dates it more precisely to s. XIV 1/4.

Provenance

The owners of the manuscript Árni Magnússon mentions are: Hannes Gunnlaugsson and Jón Hannesson of Reykjarfjorður.

Acquisition

Árni Magnússon acquired the mansucript in 1710 from Jón Hannesson of Reykjarfjörður.
